Diet Awakens Metabolism: What To Eat And When

Discover the most suitable foods and all the tips to reactivate the metabolism healthily. There are wide varieties of diets, from liquid to zero carbohydrate diets. However, nowadays we have understood that the best ones are not the restrictive ones, but the ones that contain tips for losing weight quickly, but above all in a healthy way.

The Functions Of The Diet Awaken Metabolism

The metabolism-awakening diet is based on the choice of varied foods to be distributed intelligently throughout the day. The peculiarity of this diet is that it participates in various functions. First, a diet includes foods that wake up basal and energy metabolism. The first, also called BMR, is represented by the minimum amount of energy a person needs at rest; while energy metabolism depends on physical activity.

In both cases, it is possible to speed up the normal metabolic processes that transform food into energy with the proper diet. Based on how the metabolism of each of us works, the body can burn more or fewer calories than what is assimilated: if you burn a lot of calories, little is incorporated, and you lose excess pounds. Secondly, the active metabolism diet helps purify and renew the body, slowing aging. It is a fact that once you reach a certain age, fat mass tends to increase, leading to a decline in metabolic rate and, in other words, aging faster.

To lose weight in menopause or andropause, it is important to correct some lifestyles, starting with a diet capable of stimulating the metabolism and taking only the necessary calories. Thirdly, as we will soon see, the foods that promote weight loss and are generally recommended in a weight loss diet are also the most beneficial to our health, given the abundance of vitamins, minerals, fibers, and folates. Generous.

Foods That Activate The Metabolism

A diet that stimulates metabolism also leads to a healthier and more balanced diet. Assuming no need for food restrictions, let’s insert some evergreen foods into the diet.

Fresh Fruit

It is rich in antioxidants that help fight free radicals, but also in fibers and vitamins essential for metabolic function, such as citrus fruits, abundant in vitamin C, pears, and apples, readily available all year round and suitable for losing weight more easily when incorporated into a daily routine. Occasionally, you can also treat yourself to sugary fruit (such as pineapple and melon) because if the metabolism works appropriately, the sugars will be transformed into energy, not fat.

Vegetables And Legumes

Raw vegetables (like carrots and fennel) can be nibbled on as snacks between meals; they have few calories and are abundant in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. Other vegetables such as spinach, cabbage, and above all, broccoli assist in the purification processes and help eliminate toxins from the body thanks to the fibers, folates, vitamin C, vitamin A, and vitamin K. They are therefore absolutely to be included in a detoxifying diet to purify the body. SpicesChili pepper, first of all, can accelerate the metabolism, stimulating metabolic function. The same goes for ginger, cinnamon, and pepper, although the effect is short-lived.

Meat

White meat (chicken, turkey) is recommended, but sometimes even red meat can do you well because it’s rich in iron and B vitamins.

Fish

Blue ones and shellfish are rich in iodine, which regulates the functioning of the metabolism and the thyroid. If stimulated, the latter can accelerate food disposal and burn carbohydrates, fats, and proteins more quickly.

Whole Grains

Foods such as pasta, bread, and brown rice contain the right amount of carbohydrates to give the body energy and fiber to activate the metabolism.

Eggs And Cheeses

Eggs and low-fat cheeses (ricotta, cottage cheese) also contain proteins that are useful to the body and have high satiating power; they are also suitable meat substitutes.

Dried Fruit

Almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts are rich in Omega 3 and vitamin E, one of the essential vitamins for the skin, which also acts on skin aging.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

We don’t even wholly exclude fats, such as oils or those in other foods, because they are rich in Omega 3, which helps restore the right metabolism rhythm.

Coffee

This drink is a natural metabolism booster due to the caffeine, but it’s best not to overdo it with the quantities. A fast metabolism is fine, but let’s not trade it and then find ourselves fighting insomnia!

Chocolate And Bitter Cocoa

Coffee, chocolate, and bitter cocoa can also be introduced in small quantities because they boost the metabolism and make you fat efficiently!

Water

Water, also understood as liquids, such as digestive teas, soups, and smoothies, is essential to reach at least 2 liters ingested daily and purify the body effectively. As it turns out, a diet is different from eating less. On the contrary, eating too little worsens the metabolism because as soon as it goes wrong due to an attack of nervous hunger, the body will dispose of it more easily. Indeed, some foods are not recommended because they slow down the metabolism. This is the case with simple sugars, especially when eaten in the evening or with other foods that make you fat.

When To Eat Always To Keep Your Metabolism Active

Another essential factor is always to eat meals or snacks. Rather eat frequently but in smaller quantities. On the other hand, fasting only slows down metabolic activity: the body decreases energy expenditure and consequently absorbs nutrients from food in more significant amounts. A correct procedure to follow is, therefore:

  1. hearty breakfast and mid-morning snack;
  2. relatively light lunch but rich in carbohydrates and proteins to have energy for the rest of the day;
  3. afternoon snack;
  4. light dinner.

Also, wait to pick up at night or eat before bed. Our body, including the metabolism, is at rest, and the calories that have not been burned are conserved.
